Traverse Mountain Pet Care is Hiring a Veterinary Technician/Assistant Near Lehi, UT
Traverse Mountain Pet Care is currently seeking a part-time veterinary technician or assistant to join our team. We are looking for applicants who are self-motivated, comfortable talking with clients, eager to learn and share our love of animals! We work hard to cultivate a collaborative, innovative and compassionate culture among our team so we can provide the highest standards of veterinary care. Our practice is open M - F 8:30 AM - 5 PM and Saturdays 8:30 AM - 12 PM. You will get one day off per week and only be required for one-two Saturdays per month. We are growing very quickly with a lot of opportunities to expand skill sets and advance your career.
Responsibilities
Client Service and Education - Communicating clearly with clients via phone and text, obtaining medical history, checking in patients, discharging surgeries and scheduling appointments.
Patient Care - Proper animal handling, blood draws, IV catheter placement, taking radiographs, running lab work and diagnostics, collecting patient history and assisting doctor with exam, care for hospitalized patients, and monitoring vitals.
Other Duties - Filling prescriptions, entering invoices, assisting with inventory, collecting patients, helping to keep the building and treatment areas clean and organized
Qualifications

- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
Preferred Qualification:
- 1 years of working in veterinary hospital or as a receptionist
- Currently in a Veterinary technician or assistant program
- Experienced in Veterinary Surgical Procedures
